Strength Building, Mobility and Balance

Maintaining a consistent fitness routine is important at any age and my class will promote increased cardiovascular health and build overall functional mobility while integrating strength training, stretching, and balance exercises. This interactive and fun workout session is designed to be low-impact to prevent injury while also increasing muscle strength and energy levels. We will alternate between standing and sitting in a chair, using minimal equipment and focus on body weight movements. I will focus on teaching everyone simple ways to increase muscle strength and range of movement, and improve activities for daily living. Together we will get our heart rates up, get a nice sweat going, and feel good- and have some fun music to workout to while getting strong and healthy! This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level, and as your instructor I will adapt moves to your skill level.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

  • Chair
  • Sneakers
  • (optional: light weights, can use cans of tomatoes, wine bottles, etc.)
