Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries for older Americans. Falls threaten seniors’ safety and independence and generate enormous economic and personal costs.
During the Southwest Fort Worth Chapter of AARP September meeting, Licensed Social Worker Paige Wolk and Denise Helms, RN, will help the Chapter observe National Falls Prevention Awareness Day. Our speakers will talk about fall prevention awareness, screening activities, and techniques to reduce the incidence of falls.
