Riscky's BBQ hosts 16th annual rib-eating competition on July 23, 2022

Riscky’s Barbeque, the 95-year-old Fort Worth BBQ legend, will host its 16th annual rib-eating competition at 11 a.m. on July 23 at Riscky's Stockyards Station location at 140 East Exchange Avenue. The competition will challenge up to 30 barbeque enthusiasts to eat as many Riscky’s beef ribs as possible in just 60 seconds. The top qualifiers will then go head-to-head for a grand prize valued at $500, a second-place prize valued at $250, and a third-place prize valued at $100.  All participants must pay a $5 entry fee at-the-door on the day of the event, and sign-ups are first come, first-served (30 participants max). Participants must be 18 years of age or older, and minors are eligible if accompanied by a parent or guardian. All participants will receive a t-shirt, and giveaways and prizes will be offered to spectators in attendance.  Riscky’s famous rib-eating battle will be held in tandem with a series of celebratory events hosted by the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District in honor of the National Day of the American Cowboy.
