So You Want to Get Healthy?

Baby Boomers have boomed into the 55+ market in recent years. Heritage Senior Center is aware that health and fitness are a top concern for their participants. Heritage is part of the City of Irving Texas Department of Parks and Recreation. They offer a variety of classes and activities for people aged 50 and older. Classes include everything from art, games and music to exercise. One popular program offered at Heritage is the annual Let’s Live Healthy Expo. Vendors spend the morning talking to Heritage Senior Center members about health related products and quality of life services such as Home Health and Assisted Living that they offer. Screenings are offered for blood pressure, diabetes, vision, and other health issues. Many of the Heritage members attending the Expo find the resources they need to deal with their personal situation. This year’s Expo will take place on Friday May 19th, at Heritage Senior Center, 200 S. Jefferson St. in Irving Texas. The Expo will be held from 9 a,m. to Noon. For more information call 972 721-2496.
