Have You Met The Team At Your Bedford Dental Practice?
One of the greatest truths about being human is that we need each other. Every team member at our Bedford dental practice is vital, and without their contribution, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
A champion team beats out a star performer, as the Cavaliers realized this month after losing the NBA championship series 0-4 against the Warriors. Even the individual supremacy of LeBron James (probably the greatest basketball player of all time) wasn’t enough to overcome the effectiveness of basketball’s greatest team.
We are very proud of the dental team we’ve built in Bedford.
Dr. Marea White, DDS
After distinguishing herself at Ursuline Academy during her high school years, Marea continued her education with Southern Methodist University. Because one major isn’t challenging enough, she double-majored in biology and psychology. Marea completed her graduate studies at Baylor College of Dentistry.
Dr. White has been practicing in the DFW area since 1989. She is passionate about dentistry and considers the oral health and happiness of every single patient to be paramount.
Charitable work and community service are very important to her family, and they can often be found organizing food drives for their church and the Boy Scouts. As a trained forensic dentist, Dr. White provides dental identification for the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Laurie – Registered Dental Hygienist
Laurie’s value to the practice cannot be overstated. She graduated from the University of Detroit Dental School with honors and has been with Dr. White for 18 years. Her dedication and experience make her a trusted lieutenant and a strong asset to the team.
Laurie may not realize it, but she is the relationship builder of the practice. Her compassion is palpable not just to the rest of the team, but to our patients as well. Even the other businesses we work with recognize Laurie’s efforts and the quality of care she provides.
When she’s not helping patients, she’s helping family and friends. Laurie’s daughter is especially important to her. Laurie believes in living a happy, fulfilling life by serving others, being healthy, and enjoying experiences with other people.
Fran – Patient Coordinator/Registered Dental Assistant
Fran is one of those people who can do anything. She’s been with Dr. White since 2002, and is an excellent dental assistant, able to jump chairside whenever she’s needed. Even so, Fran really shines by keeping the practice running efficiently.
Her knowledge of dentistry, communication skills, and organization are a huge part of why our practice is successful. Fran can conduct preliminary exams, diagnostic tests, and help the patient and Dr. White organize a treatment plan. She’s also the go-to gal for navigating insurance and financial options to help patients utilize their benefits to the fullest.
Fran is married with two children. They love the outdoors and like to visit Grapevine Lake. Fran enjoys cuddling and spending time with her dogs, too!
Amanda – Registered Dental Assistant
Dr. White is happy to welcome back Amanda! It’s a blessing to have her assisting Dr. White again because she is a force multiplier.
Have you ever wished you had more than two hands? In dentistry, assistants are the knowledgeable extra set of hands needed for providing treatment. Amanda’s work improves the quality of our care and helps Dr. White focus on the patient. She also prepares the treatment rooms, patients, and equipment.
Amanda is family-oriented, focusing her life around her husband and four kids. She’s also a native Texan, so she naturally loves football and the great outdoors.
Welcome back, Amanda!
Susan – Reception
We are very excited to welcome Susan, the newest member of our Bedford dental practice. Susan’s energy and 35 years of experience in dentistry make her a valuable addition to the team.
Susan is the new face of the practice. When you walk in for an appointment, she’ll be the first one you see; hers is the voice on the phone. We were lucky to find someone of Susan’s caliber and quality of character on the team.
She has two sons and four grandchildren, with whom she loves to spend time. Susan is also a big reader and an even bigger football fan.
