Exploring Declining Financial Capacity in Cognitive Aging and Dementia: Free Spring 2025 Public Lecture

Join the Center for Vital Longevity for their upcoming FREE Spring 2025 Public Lecture, titled Declining Financial Capacity in Cognitive Aging and Dementia. As cognitive aging and dementia progress, financial skills can deteriorate, putting individuals at risk for poor decisions and exploitation. This lecture will explore the risks to financial capacity in later life and discuss early warning signs that can help families protect their loved ones. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the importance of financial capacity and the ongoing scientific and policy work surrounding this issue.

The lecture will be presented by Daniel Marson, JD, PhD, Emeritus Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Marson is a clinical neuropsychologist and licensed attorney. He has published extensively on financial capacity and has conducted numerous NIH-funded studies.

The event will take place on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center in The University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM CST.
