Dallas Summer Musicals Brings Snow to Dallas Audiences!!

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas: The Musical
Take an Army entertainment duo, add a crusty General, stir with the end of World War II, and bake with lively Broadway crew and lots of songs, tap dancing, a show in a barn, and love, and you have the a wonderful Holiday treat!!

Last night I was privileged to enjoy a beautiful and uplifting Holiday show, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas: The Musical, and it was certainly the way to begin the season! With all the stress and turmoil of buying gifts, cooking, and traveling, White Christmas makes it seem all worthwhile.

The comments I heard while exiting the Fair Park Music Hall were all glowing....one patron called it “the best show I have ever seen”!

From tap dancing to singing to sets, everything worked a Christmas miracle....and the characters never stopped moving the show along.

The costumes are exceptional, the voices are magnificent, and the actors are happy to be there! In particular, the scene at the Regency in New York is just a very lush set (all the sets are well done), and the DSM has outdone itself in this production, to my mind. It is just lovely.

I won’t give away the ending, but the scene is just magical....go and see for yourself...take your family, take your friends, take your loved ones, take your children...it is a marvelous feel-good show, and you’ll know that Christmas is really on the way!! Additionally, you’ll sing along with the familiar music....”Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep” is particularly moving, as well as “Blue Skies”.

Thank you Dallas Summer Musicals for bringing this clever, crisp, and captivating production to us.
