Contemporary Artist C.J. Cowden at Frisco Fine Art
Frisco Fine Art is delighted to announce a showcase weekend featuring contemporary Frisco artist C.J. Cowden from Friday, September 14, through Sunday, September 16. Meet the artist at the opening reception on Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres.
C.J. enjoys creating art that draws viewers into her vividly pigmented dreams and subconscious world. Ultimately her art is for herself, to identify with hidden qualities of her character, to better understand her reality, and to express her interpretation of her dream world. She tries to implement a balance between her experiences and her materials, testing and exploring different media and placing supreme importance on texture and color by using different texturizing media mixed with acrylic, oils, and inks, applied in a myriad of ways. A world traveler, C.J. has a passion for helping other artists achieve their goals through mentoring and encouragement. Working full-time in her Frisco studio, she creates her original works of art as well as commission pieces, specializing in large format paintings.
